How do I inquire about solo engagements with your orchestras or choruses?

Please send your c.v. (2 pages maximum) and repertoire list to "conductor [at] saso.org.uk". Recommendations from professional musicians and other supporting material, including press reviews, are welcome, but no more than three of each. It is possible to offer solo engagements to a small minority of applicants. An interest in or willingness to perform non-standard repertoire, with any specialist expertise (including languages for singers), is welcome. It is helpful if you consult the websites of the organisations with which you are interested in working first so that any proposal is as specific as possible and appropriate to its resources, venues and circumstances.

Where can I find details of your next concert and how to buy tickets?

Concerts in the UK are listed at www.james-ross.com/concert_diary_uk.htm, with full details of programme and venues, with a link for directions. A box office telephone number or website is included under each concert for ticket bookings. The next two or three concerts also will normally be listed on the index page.

How can I inquire about booking you for concerts, opera performances or rehearsal deputising?

Inquiries are welcome to "conductor[at]saso.org.uk", including for deputising and for guest work. See www.james-ross.com/complete_repertoire.htm for works conducted, ranging from Baroque to contemporary music; other scores can be prepared, including at short notice. A DVD of live performances, references and press reviews are available for prospective inquirers.
